New Divi Contact Form Module blows the competition out of the water

A huge update to the Divi Contact Form Module has just been released. which transforms a simple form builder into a full-blown form creation tool and in the process… blows the competition out of the water.

The contact Form Module now has all the field types that you’ll ever need, conditional logic, field validation rules and a great looking “easy-to-use” interface.

(The new Contact Form Module now has 6 field types: Input, Email, Textarea, Checkbox, Radio buttons and Select dropdown)

This update takes the Module to the next level and I know that whatever type of forms you use, you’re going to love it.

In this post I’ll introduce the new Contact Form Module and take a look at its fabulous new features.

The fabulous Divi documentation… just got better!

The fabulous Divi documentation… just got better!

I’ve always said that Divi is the best documented theme on the web and that documentation… just got better.

The new Documentation system has taken all the in-depth tutorials for Bloom, Monarch, Extra, Divi and the Divi Builder and combined them into one central location.

And to make it even easier to find exactly what you’re looking for, all those great videos, text documents, graphics, screenshots and links to live examples, are now searchable and the search results are enhanced.

The enhanced search includes more than just tutorials, it also searches through the Elegant Themes blog and their support forum and returns any results relevant to your search.

In this post I’ll take a look at the new Divi Documentation system, its enhanced search feature and updated Divi tutorials.

DiviMonk premade Divi templates and why you should be using them

DiviMonk premade Divi templates and why you should be using them

The rapid growth in the popularity of Divi and the explosion of the Divi community has seen an equally rapid grown in the availability of premade Divi templates.

Premade templates save you time and effort and allow you to create websites in hours not weeks.

But not all of them are high quality, a lot are at best formulaic and at worst dated and dull.

Step forward DiviMonk, a team of creative designers and developers who have seen the potential of Divi and pushed it to its limits.

Divi Monk is the creation of Puneet Sahalot who I’ve known since my earliest days of web design.
Puneet is a seasoned web design professional, having honed his skills via Thesis and Genesis and now all Divi users can share in his wealth of experience in the form of DiviMonk’s Premade Divi templates.

DiviMonk currently has a total of 136 templates, including: 40 Layouts / pages, 53 Sections and 43 Modules and in this post I’ll take a closer look at their templates and explain why I think that you should be using them instead of all the other Divi template providers out there.

Divi theme Settings: now with separate Content and Style tabs

Divi theme Settings: now with separate Content and Style tabs

The #1 rule for web designers used to be that you had to separate content and style.

Content was created using HTML and then styled using CSS.

That’s why most designers think in terms of content and style, when creating a page, and that’s why most designers are jumping for joy at the latest release of Divi.

The latest release introduces three new tabs to the Divi Settings panel: Content, Design (Style) and Advanced.

The content tab is where you add all your text, images, videos and module elements, the Design (Style) tab is where you style all your content and the Advanced tab covers options that will be useful for more advanced users.

The various options under each tab have also been grouped under sub headings / option groups and there is now a search facility to help you quickly find the option you’re looking for.

In this post I’ll take a look at the new Settings tabs, Option Groups and Search option and explain why I think that this is a big leap forward for the Divi theme.
