Divi theme: 5 Divi sites that excite and inspire

I came across a fabulous post last week called 75+ Stunning Examples of Elegant Themes’ Divi WordPress Theme in Action and believe me folks, it is one awesome collection of fabulous Divi theme websites.

All of the websites featured are mini works of art, but as you browse through the article you’ll find yourself picking out your favourites: the ones that catch your eye, the ones that you wish you’d produced, the ones that refuse to be ignored.

So If I asked you to pick your top five, which ones would you choose?

Would you go for the ones featuring real people, would you choose the ones with subtle black and white imagery or would you pick the ones featuring cool videos?

One thing is sure: we wouldn’t all pick the same five!

In this post I’m going to share my favourite five and say a little about why I picked each of them and then… you can all disagree with me!

Divi theme: 10 steps to learning Divi like a pro

At the heart of the success of the Divi theme lies the Divi Builder: the drag and drop interface that allows you to build pages and posts by simply creating a layout and adding content to that layout… without touching a single line of code.

It is true that you don’t have to have any coding skills to use Divi, but even with an interface as well thought out and intuitive as the Divi Builder, you still have to learn how to use it.

Divi 2.6: New attention grabbing Header styles

Divi 2.6: New attention grabbing Header styles

Your header has to do a lot: it has to make it obvious what the site is about, it has to make it easy to navigate to other parts of the site and most importantly… it has to grab and hold the attention of your visitors.

Divi already allows you to customise the layout of your Header and Navigation via its Header and Navigation options and Divi 2.6 has added two new Header styles, which the Divi community have asked for.

The new Header styles are: the slide-in Header and the fullscreen Header and both are great additions to Divi’s already comprehensive Header controls.

In this post I’ll remind you of the Divi Customiser’s Header and Navigation options, point out the five Header styles and then look at the two new Header styles.

Divi 2.6: knockout improvements to Divi Builder Modules

You’ve probably spotted all the shiny new content Modules that have been added in the Divi 2.6 update, but have you noticed all the new features that have been added to some of the Builder’s existing Modules?

Nick Roach and his team have taken a look at the Divi community’s wish list for existing Modules, and added some rather tasty new features.

The Contact Form Module now has more options than you can shake a stick at, including Custom Form Fields. The Image and Blog Modules now have Image Overlays and the Slider Modules have Background Overlays and Text Backgrounds.

In this post I’ll take a look at these new features and explore how they can be used.

Divi 2.7: A short teaser to whet your appetite

The guys over at Elegant Themes tell us that “Divi 2.7 development is well underway” and they’ve given us a sneak peek at what we can expect when it’s released in the next few weeks or so.

Divi 2.7 will focus on three major areas: Split Testing, Portability and a new set of “universal” Page Options.

These new features will add to Divi’s existing capabilities by allowing you to check your content conversion rates, move specific pieces of content between sites and improve your workflow and colour coordination.

In this post I’ll run through the new features that Elegant Themes have highlighted and share some of the graphics they’ve released.
