Nick Roach and his team over at Elegant Themes are promising great things for Divi and the Divi Builder plugin in 2016 and they’re kicking things off with Divi 2.6, which will be available soon… very soon.
Divi 2.6 will include a new responsive editing system, new header styles in the Divi Theme Customizer, new and improved Modules and a whole lot more.
Many of these features have been added because Divi users have asked for them so they are rock solid useful features that will save you time and allow you to be more creative than ever.
My Affiliate Links Disclosure
Hi everyone. Just to let you know that many of the links on this site are my affiliate links. What that means is that if you click one of them and buy something… I get a commission. It doesn’t cost you anything extra and I only recommend things that I’ve tried and tested, so please, please, please… use my links.
Control over sizing and spacing on desktop, tablet and smartphone
One of the standout features of the 2.6 update is the new responsive editing system, which gives you pinpoint control over sizing and spacing on different devices.
You can say goodbye to messing around with media queries in order to get your content to display nicely on mobile devices. When you combine this feature with the Divi Builder’s live previewer and responsive testing tabs, this is going to be one very welcome and useful addition to the Divi Builder.
New header styles in the Divi Theme Customizer
And don’t worry, the Divi Theme Customizer won’t be left behind, it’s also getting an update.
Divi 2.6 will come with fabulous new header styles that will give you more options when building new websites for yourself or for your clients.
Increased functionality and layouts with new and upgraded Modules
I’ve never felt limited with the number of Content Modules available in Divi, currently there are over 40 Modules, but Elegant Themes are adding a few new Modules in Divi 2.6, which the Divi community has asked for.
This will allow you to add even more functionality to your websites and increase the number of layout possibilities… sounds good to me.
And as a result of requests from the Divi community, some of Divi’s existing Modules will also be getting an upgrade.
Elegant Themes haven’t said which Modules will be updated, but if you look at the graphic below, it looks as though Divi 2.6 will allow you to add fields to the Contact Form Module. Altogether now… Fantastic!
Add the fabulous new features of Divi 2.6 to your web design arsenal
Since its release Divi has set the standard for Page Builder themes and has quickly become Elegant Themes’ flagship theme.
The new and improved features scheduled for Divi 2.6 look set to keep Divi at the forefront of Page Builder themes, to set the standard for others to follow and to make it the theme to beat in 2016.
If you’d like to start using the Divi theme on your own or your client’s websites, then sign up with Elegant Themes, download your copy of Divi and start creating stunning websites that you never thought could be possible.
Add the power of the Divi Builder to your site… whatever theme you use!
If you want to add the power of the Divi Builder to your WordPress website, but you want to keep your existing theme, then you need the Divi Builder plugin.
The Divi Builder is a plugin, which works with any WordPress theme and allows you to add all the Divi Builder’s functionality to your website.
This is an example of a page created with the Divi Builder plugin, on a Genesis theme website.
Beautiful: I see that there would be an improvement to the Contact Form Module to allow us to add a phone number field, that would be perfect.
The “responsive editing system” too will make working very very easy.
Thank you guys, you are the best.
